Every once in a while, we all need some advice.  Whether your child has just been diagnosed with a learning difference or is unsure of his/her academic path, we can offer adequate suggestions to match his/her learning style. From picking the right school to finding the right learning strategies, our goal is to find the best pedagogical elements for your child's learning.

College Application Process​

​While Wimberley has a varied selection of schools, some students are more successful in a homeschool setting.  The HippoCampus offers an academic venue for those students.  We facilitate the educational process using a curriculum that focuses on project-based learning (PBL) approach. We feel that this method will develop the best teaching environment for all types of learners. This fee is a monthly charge.​

This is a place for students to just hangout. Some come to do homework. Some come to do nothing. Regardless, it is a place for students to just be kids, and it is free.

Our services assist in the college entrance process starting in the freshman year of high school. Not only do we offer guidance each year, but especially in the last two years.  Services include college essay editing, college resume assistance, college funding search, and college test preparation. 

Every student has the right to an education. Each student is distinct and has a unique experience.  That is why the HippoCampus started. Over a decade ago, a young student was struggling to grow academically in his school of choice. His parents experienced frustration and desperation. Our paths crossed and the rest is history. Our approach is to connect to the student, find his or her best way to learn, and teach to that method.  We have the luxury of reaching students in this manner because of our environment and approach. All individuals struggle at some point or another. Our goal is to build strengths so that weaknesses, that we all have, are not hindering. We have learned that building EMOTIONS + KNOWLEDGE is the path to LEARNING.   

Tutoring

Education Consulting

We offer one on one tutoring for all subjects and all age groups. This also includes test prep for SSAT, ISEE, HSPT, STAAR, TSI, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, and GRE exams.  We also provide small group tutoring and even have study groups scheduled during finals. The fees depend on the age group and tutoring service.
